Infection Control during Visits

As reported in newspapers and on television, the presence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria has been growing recently, and has caused various diseases.
For example, the term MRSA (an abbreviation of "methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus") may be familiar to the reader. It is a type of bacterium that is resistant to the commonly used antibiotics. Such bacteria can be found not only in patients in a hospital but also in the nasal discharge or the throat of a healthy individual.
These bacteria do not cause diseases in healthy individuals with good immunity. However, in a person who already has a disease or has reduced resistance after a surgical operation, MRSA bacteria may cause diseases such as pneumonia or enterocolitis. Since these bacteria are transmitted from person to person via the hands, fingers or saliva, visitors are requested to disinfect their hands and fingers with the antiseptic solution provided at the entrance to each room.
Visitors with respiratory conditions are requested to wear masks so that the saliva does not spread.
Your kind cooperation will be much appreciated.
